BYD has launched the Dolphin Cargo e-Van in the UK market—a fully electric panel van derived from the Dolphin model, targeting urban logistics and commercial applications. Built upon the Dolphin Comfort trim, the vehicle is equipped with a 60.4 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) Blade Battery and a 204-horsepower electric motor, delivering a maximum WLTP city range of approximately 558 km and a combined range of around 426 km. Measuring 4,290 mm in length—the same as the standard Dolphin—the van features a removed rear seat and a metal partition installed behind the front seats, creating a cargo volume of 1,093 liters. The cargo area offers a maximum internal length of 1,250 mm, width of 1,160 mm, and height of 710 mm. Additional features include smart underfloor storage, wear-resistant door panels, and protective bumper film. Multiple rear window configurations are available to enhance cargo security, including a polycarbonate panel option. Standard equipment includes Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) external power supply, a heat pump system, heated steering wheel and front seats, a 360-degree parking camera, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The van also supports various customization options, such as reversing alarms, amber warning beacons, bespoke body graphics or branding, and tailored interior storage layouts. The Dolphin Cargo e-Van is now available to order through select BYD dealerships in the UK, with a starting price of £29,358 (excluding VAT) or £36,305 including VAT.
