ALPINA plans to launch a new ultra-luxury sedan in 2027 based on the BMW 7 Series G72 platform, alongside a successor SUV developed on the second-generation BMW X7 (G67). Both models have already been previewed to select U.S. dealers in limited viewings. The 2027 ALPINA 7 Series will be powered by a V8 engine and feature a redesigned front grille, likely drawing inspiration from the Vision BMW ALPINA concept—featuring a non-fully enclosed twin-kidney grille—and unique front and rear bumpers to distinguish it from the standard 7 Series. Inside, the vehicle will offer luxury appointments surpassing even BMW Individual options, including higher-grade leather, metal, wood, and crystal glass materials, while retaining existing premium features such as automatic doors and a 31.3-inch fold-down roof-mounted screen. ALPINA will also introduce an all-electric variant based on the i7 M70, tuned primarily for comfort rather than ultimate performance. The successor to the ALPINA X7 is expected to arrive as early as 2028, following the launch of the standard X7. It will adopt the design language of the ALPINA 7 Series, including its exclusive grille, distinctive front and rear bumpers, and an even more luxurious cabin layout.
