On June 6, Dongfeng Motor officially launched its autonomous logistics vehicle brand "OpenVAN" and unveiled four all-scenario autonomous logistics models. At the launch event, the company signed orders with multiple enterprises from sectors including integrated logistics, new energy operations, equipment manufacturing, urban services, and retail distribution, totaling over 4,000 units, with deliveries expected to begin in August. The vehicle series is equipped with Dongfeng’s self-developed intelligent driving system, “Jiushi Zelos Inside,” trained on 130 million kilometers of real-world road data, enabling it to handle challenging scenarios such as sudden pedestrian crossings (“ghost probing”) and road debris. The vehicles feature redundant braking, steering, and power supply systems and leverage 5G ultra-low-latency technology to support remote monitoring of hundreds of vehicles simultaneously, automatically planning optimal routes and enabling 24/7 operational maintenance. Specifications for the four models are as follows: - **DF-2**: 2 m³ cargo volume, 1-ton payload capacity, 120 km range—ideal for last-mile delivery, road inspection, and small-scale sanitation tasks; - **DF-8**: 8 m³ cargo volume, 2.8-ton payload capacity, 150–195 km range—suited for supermarket and cold-chain logistics; - **DF-25**: 25 m³ cargo volume, 4-ton payload capacity, 300 km range—designed for intra-campus or industrial park transportation; - **DF-60**: 60 m³ cargo volume, 13.6-ton payload capacity, 200 km range—optimized for heavy and bulky cargo transport.
