GAC Trumpchi recently released multiple official images of its rugged SUV, the Yue 7, and announced that the vehicle is expected to officially launch in the third quarter of this year. The Yue 7 debuts with the Xingyuan Plug-in Hybrid GMC 3.0 Thunder Edition powertrain, comprising a 1.5T hybrid engine and an electric drive motor. The engine delivers a maximum output of 125 kW and peak torque of 245 N·m, while the drive motor offers a peak power of 205 kW. The system is paired with a highly integrated multi-in-one P4 rear electric drive unit, enabling a combined four-wheel-drive system output of up to 400 kW and a total wheel-end torque of up to 10,000 N·m. The Yue 7 features "single-wheel recovery" capability, allowing it to extricate itself even when three wheels are off the ground. During low-speed crawling, peak torque can be amplified fivefold, making it well-suited for challenging conditions such as rough terrain, steep inclines, and off-road driving. Stylistically, the Yue 7 adopts straight-line design elements, complemented by a large front bumper and lower body cladding to emphasize its rugged character. Optional equipment includes LiDAR, an externally mounted spare tire (affectionately dubbed the "little backpack"), and a towing kit. The Yue 7 has already been included in the 407th batch of the "Announcement of Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products" new product disclosure list.
