Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) capability is now active on 1.3 million vehicles globally. In China, FSD version 13.0 has completed regulatory approval and gone live, with version 14.0 expected to launch soon. Japan plans to officially roll out the feature by the end of this year, while India, Malaysia, and Thailand are currently in the approval process. In the Americas, FSD has been widely deployed across the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Puerto Rico, with Chile and Colombia targeted for the next phase of rollout. In Europe, the Netherlands, Lithuania, and Estonia have already granted regulatory approval, Latvia is nearing completion of its approval process, and an additional 21 EU member states plus 15 non-EU countries—including Germany, France, Italy, the UK, Switzerland, and Norway—are still undergoing regulatory review. In the Middle East, the UAE has begun on-road testing, Israel’s Ministry of Transport has confirmed FSD is imminent, and Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and the UAE are all on the pending approval list. Africa has entered the approval process for the first time, with Ethiopia currently advancing local regulatory procedures. Tesla has established functional validation teams in multiple regions to conduct large-scale real-world testing tailored to diverse regulatory requirements.
