At its 2025 annual general meeting, BYD Company Limited addressed questions regarding intelligent driving. Chairman Wang Chuanfu stated that vehicle intelligence is embodied intelligence, and BYD advocates "intelligent driving for all" to accelerate the application of AI technology in the automotive sector. Currently, BYD has deployed 3.15 million vehicles equipped with intelligent driving capabilities globally, generating approximately 200 million kilometers of driving data daily to support the development of advanced intelligent driving systems. Wang Chuanfu projected that, given the current pace of AI advancements, Level 3 (L3) and Level 4 (L4) autonomous driving will achieve commercial deployment earlier than expected. BYD has already established a comprehensive foundation in chips, algorithms, data, and ecosystem development. The company plans to swiftly launch new L3-compliant products once relevant regulations are officially enacted, while simultaneously expanding operations in Europe, South America, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East, where local training centers are already prepared.
