XPeng Motors has officially entered the yacht industry. Earlier this year, the company internally assembled a research and development team of approximately 100 people for the project, codenamed "Flying Fish," which is led by Qian Zhanwei, XPeng's Head of Vehicle Architecture. The yacht project focuses on chassis algorithm technology and targets high-net-worth individual (HNWI) families. It is currently still in the R&D phase. Previously, luxury automotive brands such as Mercedes-AMG, Lamborghini, Porsche, and Lexus have also ventured into the yacht market.
