On June 9, 2025, Changan Automobile’s plant in Rayong, Thailand, rolled out its 20,000th vehicle, with the Qiyuan Q05 (overseas version: NEVO Q05) as the main model. The facility officially commenced production in May 2025 and is located in the core area of Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor. It marks Changan’s first overseas new energy vehicle manufacturing base, featuring five intelligent workshops for welding, painting, final assembly, engine assembly, and battery assembly, with a 90% automation rate at key quality control stations. The plant currently serves as Changan’s manufacturing headquarters for the Southeast Asia region and functions as a global right-hand-drive vehicle supply and spare parts center, capable of producing multiple right-hand-drive models including the Avatr 11/12, Deepal S05/S07, and Qiyuan Q05. With an initial annual capacity of 100,000 units, the facility can be expanded to 200,000 units in the future. The Qiyuan Q05 was launched in Thailand in May 2025 and received over 3,000 orders within three days.
