Tinci Materials recently launched an electrolyte joint venture in Thailand with Thailand-based EA Group to advance localized production. Located in Thailand, the project aims to serve the rapidly growing new energy vehicle (NEV) and energy storage markets in Southeast Asia. Thailand offers favorable geographic positioning, supportive industrial policies, and an increasingly robust lithium battery supply chain, driving sustained growth in demand for high-quality electrolytes. EA Group is a leading Thai new energy company with operations spanning the entire NEV value chain—including power generation, energy storage, and electric vehicles—and possesses strong local resources and distribution channels. The two partners will focus on the production and processing of lithium battery electrolytes, leveraging their combined strengths in technology, manufacturing capacity, and local market access. Once operational, the project will shorten transportation distances, reduce logistics costs, and provide stable, high-purity electrolyte products to Southeast Asian power battery and energy storage manufacturers—thereby decreasing regional reliance on imported electrolytes and enhancing the stability and resilience of the local supply chain.
