According to the public notice of the 408th batch of the "Announcement on Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products" issued by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), BYD’s Fangcheng Bao brand has completed the product registration for its first sedan, the Fangcheng S, and its shooting brake variant, the Fangcheng S GT. The Fangcheng S sedan measures 5,060 mm in length, 1,967 mm in width, and either 1,483 mm or 1,458 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,960 mm. It has a curb weight of 2,140 kg, a gross vehicle weight of 2,580 kg, and a top speed of 240 km/h. It will be offered in two drivetrain configurations: a single-motor version (with peak power outputs of either 245 kW or 300 kW) and a dual-motor version (190 kW + 300 kW), both powered by lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries. The Fangcheng S GT shooting brake measures either 5,025 mm or 5,095 mm in length, 1,967 mm in width, and either 1,483 mm or 1,458 mm in height, sharing the same 2,960 mm wheelbase. It has a curb weight of 2,170 kg, a gross vehicle weight of 2,595 kg, and a top speed of 240 km/h. Its powertrain options mirror those of the sedan, offering either a 300 kW single motor or a dual-motor setup (190 kW + 300 kW), also paired with LFP batteries. This product lineup was first unveiled at the 2026 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition and includes the three-box sedan Fangcheng S, the Fangcheng SL, and the shooting brake Fangcheng S GT. Positioned as urban-oriented vehicles, the Fangcheng S series distinguishes itself from Fangcheng Bao’s existing “Bao Series” off-road SUVs and “Titanium Series” urban all-rounder models, with market launch scheduled for the third quarter of 2026.
