On June 10, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) issued a notice proposing to approve a change in the production authorization for Xiaomi Automobile Technology Co., Ltd., which would add extended-range electric passenger vehicles to its product lineup. The production site is located at No. 21 Huanjing Road, Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area, Beijing—the site of Xiaomi's Beijing automobile plant. Previously, Lu Weibing, Partner and President of Xiaomi Group, stated that Xiaomi plans to launch a new mid-to-large-size vehicle built on a new platform in the second half of this year, along with multiple derivative versions. Currently, Xiaomi Auto offers two models: the SU7 and the YU7.
