On June 11, Li Auto's Legal Department announced that it has formally filed a report with public security authorities regarding a Jiangxi-based media and culture company’s use of AI tools to mass-produce false content involving Li Auto. Relevant law enforcement agencies have since launched an investigation in accordance with the law, and the involved organization subsequently issued a public apology for its actions. The announcement stated that in recent years, there have been systematic and malicious defamation campaigns targeting Li Auto’s products, brand, and users—primarily through the mass fabrication and dissemination of false information about Li Auto owners—with the intent to stigmatize the user community and damage the company’s reputation. Li Auto emphasized that it clearly distinguishes between objective criticism and malicious rumor-mongering: it remains open to the former while resolutely safeguarding its rights through legal means against the latter.
