In 2025, China's automobile exports surpassed 7 million units, including 2.615 million new energy vehicles (NEVs), marking a 100% year-on-year increase. During the same period, Germany exported approximately 3.17 million vehicles, while Japan exported around 4 million. The average export price of Chinese vehicles has risen from RMB 100,000 five years ago to RMB 300,000, reflecting a shift toward mid- to high-end product offerings. Domestically, Chinese brands have gained market share, with some consumers previously loyal to foreign premium brands now switching to Chinese high-end NEV brands. Meanwhile, the industry faces challenges such as irrational competition among certain companies and resource wastage.
