Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. has signed an agreement to deepen its strategic cooperation with Yinwang Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. The two parties will engage in extensive collaboration on Level 3 (L3) and Level 4 (L4) autonomous driving technologies, aiming to accelerate breakthroughs and achieve mass production during China’s 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026–2030). Established on January 16, 2024, Yinwang Intelligent Technology is a Huawei subsidiary operating under Huawei’s Intelligent Automotive Solution Business Unit (IAS BU). The company offers solutions across multiple domains, including intelligent driving systems, smart cockpits, digital platforms for intelligent vehicles, intelligent vehicle cloud services, AR-HUD, and intelligent automotive lighting. Li Wenguang, President of Yinwang’s Intelligent Driving Product Line, stated that the company plans to launch L3 autonomous driving pilot programs this year, achieve large-scale commercial deployment of L3 technology next year, and expects Robotaxi services, unmanned long-haul logistics, and urban full-speed L4 autonomous driving to reach large-scale application by 2028.
