Pony.ai Unveils Seventh-Gen Robotaxi at 2026 Chongqing Auto Show

Pony.ai's seventh-generation Robotaxi made its public debut at the Chongqing International Auto Show, held from June 13 to 16, 2026. Previously, at the Beijing Auto Show in April 2026, the company announced that the total vehicle cost of its 2027-model Robotaxi had been reduced to under RMB 230,000. Pony.ai plans to launch an overseas version of this model tailored to local regulations, infrastructure, and user needs, aiming to deploy over 1,000 units in international markets. According to Pony.ai’s Q1 2026 financial report, the company recorded total revenue of RMB 236 million, representing a 145.0% year-over-year increase and a 17.6% quarter-over-quarter growth. Revenue from its Robotaxi business reached RMB 59.12 million, up 395.4% year-over-year and 28.7% quarter-over-quarter, while passenger fare revenue surged 456.5% year-over-year.
