At the 4th China International Supply Chain Expo, Intel and Changan Automobile jointly unveiled an AI cockpit solution powered by the Intel AI Box Ultra. Built on the 3rd Gen Intel Core Ultra processor, this solution brings PC-level computing power into the intelligent cockpit, enabling local execution of large language models (LLMs). Key features include: - AI computing tasks are processed locally, enhancing response speed and system stability while addressing functionality limitations in weak or no-network environments; - Sensitive data—such as call logs, driving footage, and personal itineraries—is handled locally instead of being uploaded to the cloud, strengthening privacy protection; - Support for on-device AI capabilities including natural voice interaction, multimodal fusion perception (integrating voice, camera, and gesture inputs), and intelligent graphical user interface agents; - Users can access a dedicated AI Box Ultra interface directly from the vehicle’s infotainment system with a single tap and seamlessly use mainstream Android app stores and applications. This collaboration marks the mass production and deployment of the Intel AI Box Ultra in vehicles.
