BAIC Off-Road has launched the official BJ40 Explorer "Jingyao Knight" customization kit, limited to 888 units nationwide. Priced at RMB 8,888, it is currently available at a promotional price of RMB 1,999 for a limited time. Developed as an OEM-compliant accessory, the kit involves no modifications to core mechanical components and does not void the vehicle’s original factory warranty. Based on the BJ40 Explorer, the kit features a custom two-tone wrap in white and beige with a low-saturation, layered design that preserves the vehicle’s signature boxy and rugged silhouette. The front fascia displays a Donghai Crystal emblem, while the sides are fitted with integrated white vintage-style wheels featuring circular cutouts, harmonizing with the exterior color scheme. At the rear, the upper windshield opens upward, while the lower tailgate swings open sideways; the externally mounted spare tire also uses matching white vintage circular-cutout wheel hubs. Inside, the cabin receives a crystal-crafted gearshift knob made from Donghai Crystal material. The infotainment system comes preloaded with four crystal-themed wallpapers and features a scroll-style crystal animation during startup, delivering a cohesive luxury upgrade that seamlessly unites physical components with digital interfaces.
