XPeng has released official images of the "Aurora Purple" paint option for the L03, the first SUV in its MONA series. This color draws inspiration from the purple hues of the aurora borealis within the Arctic Circle. The new model is set to debut in July, with dimensions of 4,650/4,672 mm in length, 1,920 mm in width, and 1,600 mm in height, along with a wheelbase of 2,850 mm. It will be offered in two curb weight variants: 1,855/1,875 kg and 1,920/1,942 kg, and has a top speed of 180 km/h. The vehicle features a five-seat layout. The L03 adopts the same family design language as the MONA M03, featuring a sleek fastback SUV silhouette. It will be available with both all-electric and super extended-range powertrains, making it the first “dual-power” model in the MONA lineup. The electric motor, supplied by Luxshare Smart Manufacturing Technology (Changshu) Co., Ltd., carries the model number TZ200XY01D03X, with a rated output of 70 kW and a peak output of 183 kW. The battery pack uses lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cells provided by CATL’s subsidiary, CALB. The L03 offers various optional exterior and perception hardware configurations, including front logo, front binocular cameras, door badging, fender garnishes with integrated cameras, rear emblems, side-view cameras on the exterior mirrors, rear bumper-mounted rear-view cameras, rear spoiler, side sill trim, front and rear bumper accents, wheel rims, and brake calipers. Tire options include 225/60R18 and 245/45R20 sizes. XPeng stated that despite its price tag staying under RMB 300,000, the L03 was developed to match the standards of vehicles priced around the RMB 300,000 segment.
