Xiaomi Auto has launched its first lesson in defensive and safety-focused driving, titled "Changing Your Driving Mindset." The session emphasizes shifting from passive observation to proactive anticipation, empowering drivers to take control on the road through early observation, timely preparation to brake, maintaining safe following distances, and managing speed appropriately. The company also reminded users to conduct pre-drive safety checks, including walking around the vehicle to inspect tires and sensor areas, verifying that the vehicle’s infotainment system is functioning properly, and adjusting seating positions for optimal comfort and control. Additionally, Xiaomi Auto previously rolled out its "Elite Driving – Advanced Driver Training" program, which includes one theoretical course and four hands-on driving exercises: acceleration and braking, slalom maneuvering, wet-surface handling, and autocross (Gymkhana). Owners of the Xiaomi SU7 are invited to participate. As of last December, the program had completed 484 sessions totaling 1,452 hours over 121 days across nine cities—Beijing, Chengdu, Wuhan, Xi’an, Hefei, Huzhou, Changsha, Zhuhai, and Shanghai—training 10,620 participants and achieving its initial target of 10,000 drivers.
