Recently, a test vehicle of Xiaomi's upcoming range-extended SUV—reportedly named the "Xiaomi Xuntian N90"—was spotted equipped with a deployable rooftop tent. The tent features a sloped design that’s higher at the front and lower at the rear, constructed with multi-layered, breathable, mosquito-proof fabric on all sides. The production version is expected to support electric deployment and retraction, integrated with the vehicle’s systems to allow status monitoring and control via the in-car infotainment system, fully connecting into Xiaomi’s human-car-home ecosystem. Meanwhile, on June 25, Xiaomi officially launched a custom inflatable sponge mattress specifically designed for the YU7 model, priced at RMB 899. Optimized to bridge the height difference between the folded-down rear seats and the trunk floor of the YU7, the mattress measures approximately 1965×1113×192 mm when inflated, with a thickness of 5 cm at the head end and 11 cm at the foot end. It supports a maximum load of 200 kg and comfortably accommodates two people. Built-in air pumps, paired with the included Xiaomi car charger, enable full inflation or deflation in about 30 seconds, automatically shutting off upon completion. The mattress features a stretchable sponge core to minimize storage volume, with solid sponge inserts at both ends for enhanced support. Its top layer is made of peach-skin velvet fabric, while the bottom uses Oxford cloth. It comes standard with two inflatable sponge pillows and a storage bag, which can also double as an auxiliary inflation pouch. Once deflated, it folds compactly for easy trunk storage. By introducing outdoor accessories like rooftop tents and custom inflatable mattresses, Xiaomi is expanding the utility of its vehicles in self-driving camping scenarios and further integrating home, automotive, and outdoor experiences—strengthening its comprehensive human-car-home ecosystem strategy.
