Recently, spy photos of the Mercedes-AMG all-electric high-performance GLA prototype undergoing road testing have been leaked. The front fascia of the test vehicle is heavily camouflaged, but its star-pattern headlights and a large lower air intake are discernible, suggesting the overall design will likely follow the styling direction set by the electric CLA and GLB models. The side profile features flared wheel arches, lightweight alloy wheels, a large-diameter braking system with red calipers, low-profile tires, and a sport-tuned suspension setup. Inside, the cabin layout is expected to be based on other models sharing the MMA platform, enhanced with performance-oriented elements such as a flat-bottom steering wheel wrapped in leather and Alcantara, along with two small integrated control buttons positioned beneath the steering wheel. The center console display remains covered in the images, but it is anticipated to feature a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14-inch central touchscreen, and an optional 14-inch passenger display for the front seat.
