BMW has launched two special editions of the current X5 "G05" series in Japan—the X5 Final Edition and the X5 Original—as the final versions of this generation. The Final Edition is based on the xDrive40d model and comes standard with the M Sport Package Pro. It offers four exterior color options: Mineral White, Skyscraper Grey, M Carbon Black, and Manhattan Metallic. The vehicle features 22-inch BMW Individual wheels with Orbit Grey accents, a panoramic glass sunroof, carbon fiber interior trim, Alcantara headliner, extended high-gloss black exterior elements, darkened body accents, an M Sport braking system with red calipers, an M Sport exhaust system, and M seat belts. Priced at JPY 13.98 million (approximately RMB 589,000), the X5 Final Edition will begin deliveries in July. The other variant, the X5 Original—also based on the xDrive40d—starts at JPY 12.98 million (approximately RMB 547,000). It comes standard with a third-row seat, offering a seven-seat configuration, and is available in two paint finishes: Sapphire Metallic and Alpine White. Despite its entry-level positioning, it still includes standard features such as air suspension, the Professional Driving Assistant system, Digital Key Plus, and an integrated dashcam. Both models are now available for order and feature right-hand drive configurations, representing the last opportunity to purchase the current-generation X5 before the next-generation model (codenamed G65) launches later this year or early next year. The fifth-generation X5 is scheduled for its global debut on June 30 and will be offered with five powertrain options: six-cylinder diesel, gasoline, plug-in hybrid, all-electric, and hydrogen fuel cell variants.
