BMW has recently launched two special editions in the Japanese market—the X5 Final Edition and the X5 Original—both based on the xDrive40d model, with deliveries scheduled to begin next month. Priced at JPY 13.98 million (approximately RMB 589,000), the X5 Final Edition comes standard with the M Sport Package Pro and offers a range of exterior colors along with 22-inch BMW Individual wheels. Interior features include a panoramic glass sunroof, carbon fiber trim, and an Alcantara headliner. Externally, it features extended high-gloss black exterior elements and multiple dark accents, complemented by an M Sport braking system, exhaust system, and M seat belts. The X5 Original starts at JPY 12.98 million (approximately RMB 547,000). By streamlining certain standard features, it offers a more accessible price point while retaining core technologies such as air suspension, the Professional Driving Assistant system, Digital Key Plus, and an integrated dashcam. BMW also confirmed that the all-new generation X5 will be offered with a six-cylinder diesel engine and will continue to span multiple powertrain options—including gasoline, plug-in hybrid, all-electric, and hydrogen fuel cell variants—to meet diverse market demands.
