XPeng Motors announced that the MONA L03 will make its China debut in Beijing on July 2 at 19:00, with display vehicles arriving at dealerships nationwide starting July 1. Positioned as a compact, intelligent, and stylish SUV, the MONA L03 offers three exterior color options and targets young consumers. He Xiaopeng, founder of XPeng Motors, stated that the vehicle’s price will not exceed RMB 300,000, yet its development standards are benchmarked against premium RMB-300,000-class products. The MONA L03 is the first model in the MONA series to offer both all-electric and super extended-range powertrain options. The BEV variant is equipped with the LUXSHARE Intelligent TZ200XY01D03X motor, delivering a peak output of 183 kW, and features lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cells supplied by CALB, offering an estimated CLTC range between 500 and 650 kilometers. The extended-range version features a 1.5L engine with a peak power output of 70 kW, paired with a 37.2 kWh battery pack. The vehicle was designed by XPeng’s global design team led by Juanma Lopez, former Ferrari designer. According to filings submitted to China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the MONA L03 measures 4,650/4,672 mm in length, 1,920 mm in width, and 1,600 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,850 mm. Its curb weight ranges from 1,855 to 1,942 kg, with a top speed of 180 km/h and seating for five passengers. Inside, over 72% of surfaces are soft-wrapped. Interior highlights include brushed-metal speaker grilles, a dual-layer silver-coated panoramic sunroof, and large-area front vanity mirrors with soft lighting. The cabin features 23 expansion ports and a 256-color ambient lighting system with light strips totaling 4.15 meters in length. The steering wheel adopts a supercar-inspired design and includes class-exclusive dual satellite buttons for one-touch switching between intelligent driving and manual driving modes. The MONA L03 is equipped with a 26.8-inch W-HUD and a 15.6-inch 2.5K ultra-high-definition central touchscreen capable of displaying 16.7 million colors, with a peak brightness of 600 nits and an oleophobic and hydrophobic coating. The seats use “cloud-comfort” materials and debut XPeng’s zero-gravity seats with 14-point massage functionality. An AI-powered audio system with 20 speakers completes the premium interior experience.
