On April 15, 2024, Huawei filed an invention patent related to intelligent control of a vehicle differential lock. The patent involves acquiring driving parameters such as motor speed and vehicle body acceleration to determine whether the vehicle is on a split-mu surface (a road surface with differing traction levels on left and right wheels) and sending commands to a first controller to engage the differential lock accordingly. The system leverages an intelligent driving multi-dimensional perception module and wheel-end perception modules to identify road conditions and automatically activate the differential lock, thereby enhancing the vehicle's off-road capability and driving stability under complex road conditions. This technology is expected to be applied to the Luxeed G9 model, which will feature an all-wheel-drive system, new motors, and advanced communication technologies across its entire lineup.
