At the Chinese debut event of the XPeng MONA L03, He Xiaopeng, Chairman and CEO of XPeng Inc., clarified rumors regarding the departure of Juan Ma Lopez, the former Ferrari designer, confirming that he remains with the company. He Xiaopeng emphasized that the MONA L03 is Juan Ma’s first lead design project since joining XPeng, spearheaded by him and developed collaboratively by a global design team from 23 countries. Juan Ma joined XPeng Motors in 2024 as Vice President of the Styling Design Center, overseeing all management and design decisions for the center. Prior to this, he spent eight years at Ferrari, where he served as Head of Exterior Design and contributed to the design and development of multiple models, including the LaFerrari.
