From July 1 to 3, 2026, NXP Semiconductors participated in electronica China in Shanghai under the theme “Pioneering Trusted Intelligent Edge Systems,” showcasing its system-level solutions across three key domains: intelligent mobility, industrial & robotics, and smart living. This exhibition coincides with the company’s 40th anniversary of entering the Chinese market. NXP introduced its Neural Axis Architecture, inspired by the hierarchical mechanisms of the human nervous system, to build a distributed, multi-dimensional, collaborative, and scalable system platform. Designed to enhance the safety, reliability, and scalability of intelligence in complex physical systems, this architecture emphasizes ultra-low latency, low power consumption, and trusted security—addressing core challenges as AI extends into the physical world. In intelligent mobility, the booth featured the Li Auto L9 Livis production vehicle equipped with UWB-based seamless entry, Bluetooth-based precise ranging, and wireless charging capabilities. The Wireless GenZ Battery Management System demonstrated an upgrade from passive monitoring to active diagnostics. Radar edge intelligence brought AI perception and decision-making closer to the radar itself, reducing ADAS costs. The combination of S32N79 and Ara240 formed the “central brain” of intelligent vehicles, while the S32K5 platform integrated edge AI deployment with high-performance MRAM storage technology. For industrial and robotics applications, a robotic arm based on LeRobot and i.MX 95 achieved closed-loop control from perception to action. An I3C-bus-enabled dexterous hand supported high-bandwidth, low-latency fine manipulation. A multimodal large-model-driven video retrieval solution endowed machines with semantic understanding and query capabilities, accelerating industrial automation. In smart living scenarios, NXP showcased an AI-powered medical human-machine interface based on i.MX 95, a continuous glucose monitoring patch, a single-chip hearing aid solution, and a hands-free secure access control system integrating UWB, BLE, and NFC technologies. Over its 40 years in China, NXP has established a localized, end-to-end ecosystem covering product definition, R&D, design, manufacturing, and packaging/testing, forming an innovation model of “Defined in China, Developed in China, Adapted Globally.” The company collaborates closely with wafer foundries to optimize processes and leverages ecosystem partnerships to accelerate technology validation and solution deployment. Additionally, its global compliance and technical service capabilities help Chinese enterprises meet functional safety, cybersecurity, and regional regulatory requirements in overseas markets. NXP stated it will continue deepening its local capabilities in product definition and foundational R&D, combining global resources with Chinese efficiency to drive the localization of physical AI innovations in China and their global expansion.
