The new BMW 7 Series sedan has officially entered production at BMW's Dingolfing plant in Germany. This model marks the first application of BMW’s "Neue Klasse" (New Class) technology to an existing mass-produced flagship vehicle. By the end of 2027, Neue Klasse technology is scheduled to be rolled out across 40 models within the BMW Group. The new vehicle offers extensive customization options: over 500 exterior paint colors and two-tone combinations are available, while the interior supports approximately 700 material and configuration combinations, including leather, metal, and crystal glass. The production line features a dual-tone layered paint process that enables a combination of matte and high-gloss finishes on the same body. Painting a single vehicle takes more than 4,500 minutes, with around 2,000 minutes dedicated to manual operations. In terms of powertrain, the new 7 Series is equipped with BMW’s sixth-generation cylindrical battery cells. Taking the all-electric i7 xDrive60 as an example, it achieves a WLTP range of 727 kilometers and can charge from 10% to 80% in approximately 28 minutes.
