Porsche has halted new orders for personalized configurations of the Taycan and Macan EV in mainland China. Customers can currently only purchase vehicles already in stock or those en route. The all-electric Cayenne Turbo and Turbo Coupé, launched in April this year, are not expected to begin allocation to Chinese dealers until October, with initial deliveries scheduled between late this year and the first quarter of next year. As Porsche currently offers only these four all-electric models in China, this move will result in a delivery gap for new EVs from July through December 2026. Data shows that Porsche delivered 60,991 vehicles globally in the first quarter of 2026, down 15% year-over-year. Deliveries in China totaled 7,519 units, a 21% decline compared to the same period last year. Since reaching its sales peak in 2021, Porsche’s sales in China have declined for four consecutive years, with total deliveries in 2025 falling below 42,000 units—nearly 60% lower than in 2021. The all-electric Cayenne Turbo series, unveiled in April this year, is available in two variants with official starting prices ranging from RMB 1.118 million to RMB 1.158 million. Both versions feature a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds. They are equipped with a 114 kWh battery pack, support 800V high-voltage fast charging (10%–80% in 16 minutes), and offer 11 kW wireless charging capability.
