SAIC Motor’s MG brand announced on July 6 that its all-new new-energy coupe, the MG07, will open for pre-orders on July 29, with a price range of RMB 150,000 to 200,000. Built on SAIC’s next-generation new-energy vehicle platform, the MG07 targets young consumers. In terms of design, the MG07 features a one-piece stamped clamshell hood, C-shaped headlights, semi-recessed door handles, and frameless doors. At the rear, it is equipped with a five-position adjustable electric spoiler. The vehicle measures 4,886 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and 1,478 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,825 mm, and will be available in six exterior colors. Inside, the cabin offers two theme options: White Violet and Royal Blue. It comes with a 15.6-inch central touchscreen powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P chip and runs the Linggan OS system. The driver’s seat features automatic adjustment, heating, and ventilation functions, while the front passenger seat is a zero-gravity “Queen Seat.” Additional interior highlights include a panoramic glass roof, ventilated and heated rear seats, a multifunctional vanity station, and a 21-speaker audio system. For intelligent driving, the MG07 is equipped with LiDAR and SAIC’s proprietary X7 AI chip, utilizing Momenta’s R7 reinforcement world model solution. The MG07 will be offered in both all-electric and plug-in hybrid variants. The BEV version is built on an 800V architecture, delivering 176 kW of motor power, a CLTC-rated range of 840 km, 5C ultra-fast charging capability, and a 0–100 km/h acceleration time in the 5-second range. The PHEV variant combines a 1.5L engine (82 kW max power) with an electric motor peaking at 152 kW, offering a WLTC pure-electric range of 185 km.
