The mid-cycle refresh of the BMW X2 has entered the testing phase and is expected to debut officially in July 2027. The updated model will be offered in both combustion-engine and all-electric iX2 variants. Exterior updates include a revised kidney grille and headlight design at the front, while the lower bumper retains large rectangular air intakes. The side profile carries over the current model’s silhouette and semi-recessed door handles. At the rear, the primary changes involve the rear bumper, with the taillights and fixed roof spoiler largely unchanged. Inside, the cabin adopts BMW’s latest family design language, featuring a large central touchscreen, a new steering wheel design, and the Panoramic Vision Bridge display. Under the hood, the combustion-engine variant continues with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and offers an optional xDrive all-wheel-drive system. The all-electric iX2 will be available in three versions, including a long-range variant with over 600 km of range and a high-performance M50 variant.
