The BMW M2 CS Coupe will officially cease production in July 2024. Production of this model began in September 2023, with deliveries commencing in the Chinese market in January 2024. Limited to approximately 2,000 units globally—including a quota of 200 units for China—the M2 CS had a starting price of RMB 808,000 and has already sold out entirely. Powered by a 3.0-liter inline-six twin-turbocharged engine, the M2 CS delivers a maximum output of 530 horsepower and peak torque of 650 N·m—representing increases of 50 hp and 50 N·m over the standard M2. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in 11.7 seconds, with a top speed of 302 km/h. The vehicle features a carbon fiber roof, carbon fiber rear diffuser, and a carbon fiber integrated ducktail trunk lid, reducing its curb weight by approximately 30 kg compared to the standard M2, making it the lightest model in the M2 lineup. Following the discontinuation of the M2 CS, the all-new M2 equipped with an all-wheel-drive system will enter production in August 2024 at BMW Group’s San Luis Potosí plant in Mexico. Production is expected to last for three years, marking the first time the M2 series offers an all-wheel-drive variant.
