On July 6, Ford China launched the "Wild Expedition" strategic cooperation initiative in Liuzhou, partnering with the China Tourism Association and Qunar Travel to introduce eight new exclusive self-drive routes across two series. Combined with the four classic routes launched in April, Ford China now offers a total of 12 tiered, customized self-drive itineraries catering to diverse travel needs—including extreme off-roading, luxury leisure, and family trips. These new routes integrate vehicle capabilities with local cultural and tourism resources, offering refined segmentation tailored to different user groups. The “Adventure Explorer Series,” designed specifically for the Ford Bronco, includes the Ili River Valley, Shangri-La, Hulunbuir Grasslands, and Anji Bamboo Sea routes—blending off-road driving experiences with camping activities. Among the classic routes, the “Race-Level Wild” and “Hardcore Wild” itineraries target seasoned off-road enthusiasts. Meanwhile, Lincoln debuts its “Luxury Escape Series,” featuring four slow-travel routes emphasizing all-terrain luxury driving comfort. Additionally, the “Discovery Wild” and “Leisure Wild” routes are tailored for families and travelers preferring a relaxed pace. All itineraries operate in premium small-group formats with dedicated travel concierges and are now available on the Qunar Travel app. The new routes will run through October 2024, while the classic routes launched in April will remain available until October 14. This initiative aims to build an all-scenario outdoor travel ecosystem, align with China’s new policies promoting automotive aftermarket consumption, and boost regional cultural and tourism spending.
