Affected by Typhoon "Maysak," the tenth typhoon of this year, Guangxi experienced historically rare, widespread, and prolonged heavy rainfall. Approximately 77% of townships across the region recorded precipitation levels reaching or exceeding heavy rain intensity. Accumulated rainfall surpassed 600 millimeters in Nanning, Guigang, Qinzhou, Fangchenggang, and other areas, with many locations setting new historical records for rainfall extremes. Meanwhile, on the evening of July 6, Huanggang City in Hubei Province was struck by an EF2 tornado, with maximum wind speeds exceeding Category 15 on the Beaufort scale, causing severe damage to major and secondary urban roads, residential communities, and industrial zones. Following the disasters, FAW Audi’s After-Sales Service Department swiftly coordinated a unified response, immediately activating its emergency rescue plan in the Southern Region and mobilizing local dealerships for rapid action. In Guangxi, severe flooding hit Fangchenggang, Qinzhou, Guigang, and surrounding areas, resulting in road closures and communication outages in some regions. FAW Audi’s Southern Region coordinated four local dealerships to deploy rescue teams by zone, rushing overnight to the hardest-hit areas. They sent care and alert messages to all Audi customers, proactively liaised with local government rescue units, and collaborated with insurance companies to identify affected vehicles and provide both vehicle recovery services and community assistance. As of July 9, they had successfully rescued 73 vehicles, followed up on over 120 pending rescue leads, and continued efforts to locate customers who had lost contact due to power and network outages. In Huanggang, Hubei, the tornado caused extensive vehicle damage and disrupted transportation. The local Audi dealership worked under the unified dispatch of the local transport management office, deploying specialized equipment and technical teams to carry out towing and rescue operations for both Audi and non-Audi vehicles, while accelerating repair and damage assessment procedures for affected cars. By July 9, they had rescued or received at their facility 75 Audi vehicles impacted by the disaster.
