Gotion High-Tech’s Hybrid Solid-Liquid Battery Passes Extreme Tests, Ready for Mass Production; All-Solid-State Battery Enters Pre-Mass Production Phase

Gotion High-Tech announced that its G-Yuan semi-solid-state battery has successfully completed multiple tests and validations, including extreme summer and winter condition trials, and is now ready for mass production. The company has a clear overseas expansion strategy, with manufacturing facilities in Germany, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Thailand already ramping up production to meet the growing demand from both domestic and international automotive customers and to optimize its customer portfolio. Currently, Gotion High-Tech holds a robust order backlog for both its power battery and energy storage businesses. At the Global Tech Conference held on May 16–17, 2025, Gotion High-Tech unveiled six new battery products, including an all-solid-state battery already in the pre-mass-production phase and the G-Yuan quasi-solid-state battery capable of delivering a range of 1,000 kilometers. This quasi-solid-state battery features a cell energy density exceeding 300 Wh/kg and a system-level energy density above 235 Wh/kg—representing a more than 36% increase over conventional liquid-based battery systems of the same volume. Designed with solid-state technology, it offers enhanced safety, being “non-flammable and non-explosive,” and remains stable even when pierced by a 3mm steel needle. The battery has already gained recognition from multiple leading domestic and international automakers and is undergoing vehicle integration testing in several new models.
