On July 16, Goertek Dynaudio, IMAX Corporation, and IMAX China announced a strategic partnership to jointly launch the world’s first IMAX in-car entertainment system. Exclusively co-designed by Goertek Dynaudio and IMAX, the system is expected to enter mass production by the end of 2026, with initial deployment targeting premium Chinese automakers. The system features IMAX’s proprietary Enhanced Acoustic Architecture, engineered specifically for ultra-high dynamic range and exceptional low-frequency performance, delivering powerful, distortion-free bass response. Visually, it incorporates an IMAX-certified intelligent display system equipped with a large-format, foldable 4K HDR screen and custom display technologies that accurately reproduce cinematic details. An intelligent ambient light-sensing mode automatically adjusts display settings to suit varying road lighting conditions. Additionally, the system integrates next-generation ultra-lightweight wearable displays that create a virtual IMAX theater environment, enhancing passengers’ immersive viewing experience through high-definition display technology. Designed with modularity in mind, the system supports flexible speaker configurations across different vehicle models and offers a scalable commercial and product configuration framework, providing automakers with a practical, high-quality in-car entertainment solution.
