XPeng X9 Air Suspension Issues Mount; Supplier Konghui Tech Responds with Delivery Data

Recently, multiple XPeng X9 owners have reported sudden failures of the vehicle's air suspension system, including air leaks and body sagging, rendering their cars undrivable. In response, XPeng Motors announced it will extend the warranty coverage for the front air spring system from the original 5 years or 120,000 kilometers to 8 years or 160,000 kilometers, with the warranty remaining valid regardless of ownership changes. Konghui Technology, one of the suppliers of the air suspension system for this model, issued a statement asserting that domestically produced air suspensions have demonstrated excellent overall performance and delivered a superior driving experience for consumers. The company began mass production and delivery of passenger vehicle air suspension systems in June 2021 and started mass-producing air springs featuring plastic-welded air chambers in October 2023. As of June 30, 2026, Konghui Technology has established partnerships with automotive brands including Li Auto, Zeekr, and Lynk & Co, supplying components for over 35 vehicle models. It has cumulatively delivered 1.47 million air spring units, of which more than 550,000 units (equivalent to 2.2 million individual air springs) utilize plastic-welded air chambers. Konghui Technology emphasized that its products have been extensively used across diverse climates—including frigid conditions in Northeast China and hot, humid environments in Hainan and Guangdong—and to date, no batch-related air leakage incidents have occurred.
