At approximately 9 a.m. on July 17, 2024, a landslide struck Hanjia Subdistrict in Pengshui County, Chongqing, burying multiple people and leaving them missing. Local authorities immediately launched a comprehensive emergency rescue operation. On July 18, Seres Group issued a public announcement pledging a special donation of RMB 10 million to the disaster-affected area in Pengshui County to support emergency relief and post-disaster reconstruction efforts. The funds will be allocated primarily toward two key areas: first, supporting on-site search and rescue operations, emergency response measures, and ensuring the supply of relief materials, equipment, and logistical support; and second, repairing damaged areas, resettling affected residents, and restoring essential infrastructure. As a Chongqing-based enterprise, Seres stated it will continue closely monitoring the situation in the disaster zone and provide further assistance in coordination with local authorities based on actual needs.
