XPeng G9 recently underwent extreme heat testing in Turpan, Xinjiang, covering routes through the Flaming Mountains, Lop Nur, and the Tianshan Mountains, accumulating over 1,000 kilometers of driving. During testing, ground temperatures exceeded 70°C, with ambient air temperatures reaching 44°C. The vehicle successfully handled complex conditions including Gobi dust, intense sunlight exposure, and prolonged uphill driving. In the high-temperature environment of the Flaming Mountains, the cabin temperature—initially rising to 55°C—was cooled down to 29°C within six minutes. The vehicle’s AI-tinted privacy glass achieved over 99% UV blocking efficiency even under midday sun exposure. During tests on low-visibility, dusty roads near Lop Nur, peak in-cabin PM2.5 levels measured just 17 µg/m³, surpassing China’s national Grade I standard and demonstrating excellent overall cabin sealing performance. While traversing the Tianshan Mountains, the vehicle climbed continuously for 56 kilometers, ascending over 1,000 meters in elevation. Under low-state-of-charge conditions, the battery level did not decrease but actually increased slightly. In this depleted state, average in-cabin noise measured 58.1 dB(A), highlighting the range extender system’s balance between power delivery and quiet operation. Real-world testing confirmed a combined electric-and-fuel range of 1,340 kilometers, achieving 84.9% of its rated range. Over a 236-kilometer segment with strong backlighting conditions, the NGP advanced driver-assistance system operated stably throughout without requiring manual intervention.
