Kuka Group recently officially launched its AI-driven orchestration platform, Kuka AMP, at its production facility in Toledo, Ohio, USA. The open platform is now operational and supports the daily production activities at the Kuka Toledo Production Operations Center (KTPO). Spanning 335,000 square feet, the KTPO plant produces over 300 body-in-white units per day—averaging one vehicle every two minutes. This deployment integrates existing automation systems with AI technology to enhance operational flexibility, production efficiency, and the ability to extract value from data. Marc Fleischmann, Chief Software and AI Officer at Kuka Group, stated that this move marks the convergence of traditional industrial automation with AI-driven systems, laying the foundation for manufacturing’s next evolutionary phase.
