XPeng Inc. recently held a launch event in Melbourne, officially unveiling its long-term strategic plan for the Australian market. According to the announcement, XPeng will introduce five new models locally within the next six months, including the seven-seat flagship MPV X9—now open for reservations—and the right-hand-drive version of the MONA L03, which made its global debut at the event. Additionally, XPeng confirmed it will bring its largest SUV, the GX, to Australia. The GX is offered in China with a six-seat configuration and available in both all-electric and extended-range variants, with an expected Australian price tag exceeding AUD 100,000. Concurrently, XPeng plans to establish three flagship smart-tech experience centers and 50 sales outlets across Australia, while advancing its "dual-energy" strategy featuring the Kunpeng Super Extended-Range technology. The company’s Turing AI Driving System (Navigation Guided Pilot, or NGP) is scheduled to launch in Australia by 2027. At the event, XPeng also showcased its full physical AI ecosystem in Australia for the first time, including its AI-powered vehicles, humanoid robot IRON, and the flying car “Land Aircraft Carrier.”
