Smart driving solutions provider Freescale Tech (Fullway) announced that its 4D imaging millimeter-wave radar, the FVR60—developed based on Infineon’s 8T8R edge architecture (CTRX8188F + TC457)—has entered mass production, making it the industry’s first such product. The radar employs a sparse, non-uniform large-aperture waveguide antenna array, delivering a 30% improvement in both processing speed and RF performance. It achieves a maximum detection range of 350 meters, with a horizontal angular resolution of 0.9° and an elevation angular resolution of 1.2°, enhanced by integrated AI algorithms. Its key performance metrics—including detection range, ability to detect small or weak targets, and anti-interference capability—surpass the mandatory national standards for combined driver assistance systems. Additionally, Fullway’s satellite radar architecture product, the FVR60_SO (8T8R), is poised to enter mass production soon, offering up to 4,096 points per frame and optimized for highway navigation and complex urban scenarios. Meanwhile, the FVR60_SD—a 16T16R ultra-large antenna array radar—is in a critical phase of development, generating over 10,000 points per frame, with point cloud density and detection range reaching industry-leading levels. Founded in 2016, Fullway specializes in advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving systems (ADS). As of projected 2025 vehicle sales, all ten of China’s top automakers have already adopted its solutions for mass-produced models.
