On July 27, Momenta announced the official launch of its Robovan business in Xiangcheng District, Suzhou. Built upon the company’s self-developed R7 World Model, the Robovan product meets automotive-grade standards and introduces Momenta’s proven “mapless solution”—long validated in passenger vehicles—into autonomous delivery scenarios, eliminating reliance on high-definition maps. For several months prior, Momenta Robovan had already been operating in Suzhou, with real-world deployments at logistics parks such as those operated by JD Logistics. Leveraging over 12 billion kilometers of real-world driving data accumulated from its mass-production vehicle business—and more than 100 million high-quality driving segments distilled from that data—Robovan has achieved significant improvements in delivery efficiency. Currently, the autonomous delivery vehicle is being deployed in scenarios including express parcel delivery and nighttime logistics, enabling round-the-clock unmanned transportation to cover the urban “last mile.” In April this year, Momenta’s R7 World Model made its mass-production debut, serving as a unified foundational platform supporting large-scale deployment across multiple applications—including passenger cars, Robovan, Robotruck, and Robotaxi—and extending into embodied intelligence and other domains. Vehicles equipped with Momenta’s system have surpassed the one-million-unit milestone, establishing a virtuous cycle of data accumulation and commercial scaling. Industry forecasts suggest the global autonomous delivery market could approach $900 billion by 2030. With Robovan accelerating its rollout, Momenta’s strategic footprint in autonomous logistics is becoming increasingly clear.
