Leapmotor A05 EV Opens Blind Pre-Orders with Snapdragon 8295, 12-Speaker Audio, and Multi-Mode Seats

The Leapmotor A05, a compact all-electric vehicle, has officially launched its blind pre-order campaign. Customers who pay a refundable deposit of RMB 99 will receive 5,000 exclusive energy points. The vehicle measures 4,200 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width, and 1,560 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,605 mm. According to data released by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the A05 offers two battery options—39.8 kWh and 53 kWh—delivering CLTC-rated ranges of 405 km and 510 km, respectively. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip, the A05 features an 8.88-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.6-inch central touchscreen. It supports a microphone-free karaoke function and comes equipped with a 12-speaker audio system—the only one of its kind in its segment. The exterior design adopts smooth, rounded lines, complemented by a floating roof. An optional LiDAR sensor is available, and the vehicle uses semi-flush door handles. Its rear light clusters incorporate a “smiley face” motif, offering high visual recognition when illuminated. Inside, the cabin offers multiple seating configurations, including Surfboard Mode, Nap Recline Mode, Double Bed Mode, Pet & Moving Mode, and Privacy Storage Mode. The interior includes 33 dedicated storage compartments, with designated spots for items such as earphones, sunglasses, tissues, and charging cables. The trunk provides a base capacity of 474 liters, expandable to 1,308 liters when the rear seats are folded down, and also features a 91-liter underfloor storage compartment, creating a dual-level, flexible cargo structure.
