SAIC Volkswagen ID. ERA 5S Reveals Interior Colors and Key Specs, Launching in Q3

SAIC Volkswagen has unveiled two interior color options for the ID. ERA 5S: "Floating Light" and "Fleeting Shadow." The cabin features an enveloping, integrated layout, with cohesive design integration of interior trim elements, hidden air vents, side window switches with door handles, and a unified zone combining the wireless phone charging area and central air vents. The vehicle officially rolled off the production line on July 20 and is scheduled to launch in the third quarter. The ID. ERA 5S measures 4,836 mm in length, 1,880 mm in width, and 1,505 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,766 mm. It is powered by a 1.5T plug-in hybrid system, featuring an engine with a maximum net output of 77 kW, a drive motor with a rated power of 57.6 kW, and a peak motor output of 130 kW. The body utilizes a refined metallic paint process, optimized for enhanced metal flake orientation to deliver dynamic light-and-shadow effects under varying lighting conditions. This model marks Volkswagen’s first global sedan equipped with urban NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) advanced intelligent driving capabilities. It comes standard with the “Xingyun Zhi Xing” advanced driver-assistance system and the “Yunqi Smart Cockpit” intelligent cabin system.
