In late July, Li Auto’s i6 production was reduced by approximately 4,000 units due to supply issues with front headlights. Currently, the supply of related components and vehicle production have returned to normal, and the company is accelerating its production pace to make up for lost time and ensure that delivery schedules for existing customer orders remain unaffected. As of July 21, the 160,000th Li Auto i6 rolled off the production line, marking four consecutive months of sales exceeding 20,000 units. The Li Auto i6 is a battery-electric SUV that began deliveries on September 27, 2025, from the company’s Changzhou Intelligent Manufacturing Base, with a starting price of RMB 249,800. The vehicle features a 3-meter wheelbase and a five-seat layout, equipped with a 16.8-inch head-up display for the front row, dual 3K-resolution screens in the front, and a 21.4-inch 3K screen for rear passengers. It also integrates Li Auto’s self-developed MindGPT large AI model. Powertrain options include a single-motor rear-wheel-drive version (maximum output: 250 kW) and a dual-motor all-wheel-drive version (maximum output: 400 kW). Both variants are paired with an 87.3 kWh 5C lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack, delivering a maximum CLTC-rated range of 720 kilometers. Built on an 800V high-voltage platform, the i6 supports 5C ultra-fast charging.
