Bentley’s First EV, the Torcal, Reveals Interior: Curved Display, Handcrafted Crystal Accents, Built on PPE Platform

On July 28, Bentley released a new teaser video, offering the first detailed look at the interior design and additional product specifics of its upcoming all-electric model, the Torcal. Exterior-wise, the vehicle features a "floating diamond-pattern grille," maintaining Bentley’s signature design language while delivering distinctive visual identity. The rear is highlighted by three-dimensional taillights with diamond-textured detailing, preserving the brand’s iconic sharp-corner styling cues. Inside, the Torcal collaborates with Cumbria Crystal to create hand-cut crystal trim elements enhanced with integrated lighting for added depth, dynamism, and premium feel. The door panels showcase three-dimensional textures, while the center console retains knurled air-conditioning control knobs, physical buttons, and a rotary switch integrating the start/stop function. Dedicated shortcut buttons for Sport and Comfort driving modes are also included. A vertically oriented curved touchscreen dominates the center stack, with a status bar beneath it displaying real-time climate and seat information. The steering wheel adopts a three-spoke layout and features wing-shaped stalks reminiscent of those in the Audi Q3: the right-side stalk controls gear shifting, while the left manages lights and wipers. Additional interior highlights include a curved full-digital instrument cluster, circular air vents, genuine metal trim accents, and an expansive wood panel spanning the passenger-side dashboard. Built on the same PPE platform as the upcoming all-electric Porsche Cayenne, the Torcal supports a 113 kWh battery pack and 390 kW DC fast charging. It will be offered in three power outputs—324 kW, 490 kW, and 849 kW—with the final production version expected to fall between 490 kW and 849 kW. Bentley claims the vehicle can gain up to 161 kilometers (100 miles) of range in just seven minutes of charging. The Torcal will make its official debut on September 23 and is scheduled to launch first in the U.S. market in the third quarter of 2027, with an estimated starting price between $200,000 and $250,000.
