XPeng Unveils Australia Strategy: Five New Models by 2026, Smart Driving in 2027

XPeng Inc. recently unveiled its long-term strategy for the Australian and New Zealand markets in Melbourne, covering product rollout, channel development, after-sales service, and intelligent technology deployment. In terms of products, XPeng plans to launch five new models in Australia and New Zealand within the next six months, aligning with its China market schedule. The flagship MPV X9 has already opened for pre-orders locally, with a starting price of AUD 89,900 in Australia and NZD 104,900 in New Zealand. The right-hand-drive version of the MONA L03 is scheduled for launch in Q4 2026, alongside the 2026 model-year G6 and two additional yet-to-be-disclosed vehicles. For channel expansion, XPeng aims to establish three flagship experience centers and 50 sales outlets within six months, targeting coverage across major states to ensure customers can reach a facility within 40 minutes. Authorized dealers already span New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia, and South Australia, with several of the region’s top-ten local dealers having joined XPeng’s sales network. On the after-sales front, XPeng has set up an OEM parts warehouse in Melbourne operated by FedEx, enabling next-day delivery to major states. The company is also collaborating with AASRA to integrate into the MVIS (Motor Vehicle Information Scheme), allowing owners in the future to choose independent repair shops for maintenance and servicing. Locally, XPeng offers a 7-year unlimited-kilometer vehicle warranty and 24/7 roadside assistance. In intelligent driving, the Turing AI Driving System powered by the second-generation VLA model is slated for global rollout starting in 2027, with Australia among the first right-hand-drive markets to deploy it. XPeng’s Robotaxi program has already begun internal employee testing and has extended partnership invitations to local fleet operators. The event also showcased XPeng’s humanoid robot IRON and flying car. IRON is scheduled to debut in XPeng stores in China in Q1 2027 before expanding overseas. The flying car has already received over 7,000 orders, and a factory with an annual production capacity of 10,000 units has been completed. All these products are built upon XPeng’s proprietary Physical AI technology platform.
