Tesla has rolled out its Summer 2026 software update to international users, enabling the in-car browser to access the vehicle’s camera and microphone upon user authorization. When a webpage requests access to these hardware components, the system displays a permission prompt; once granted, users can join video conferences directly through web-based collaboration platforms. Testing confirms that services such as Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and Discord all function properly with this feature. During video calls, the vehicle automatically crops and scales the camera feed to keep the driver centered in the frame. This functionality is currently available only on Model S, 3, X, and Y vehicles equipped with AMD Ryzen chips; models using Intel processors do not support this feature.
