Qualcomm to Be BMW's Primary Chip Supplier for Digital Cockpit and Driver Assistance Systems for Next Decade

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. and the BMW Group have announced a collaboration agreement under which Qualcomm will supply computing chips for BMW’s next-generation digital cockpit and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS)/autonomous driving (AD) over the next decade. The partnership encompasses multiple solutions from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Digital Chassis, including the highest-performance Snapdragon Automotive Platforms’ premium-tier system-on-chip (SoC) and dedicated AI accelerators. One key outcome of this collaboration is the Snapdragon Ride Pilot ADAS, which will enter mass production in November 2025 on the BMW iX3—the first model in BMW’s Neue Klasse (New Class) series.
